Staying active is the key to a healthy life.

My classes are very sociable places where we turn exercise into a social event and you exercise with friends.

Exercising with friends is not just more enjoyable but will also help you to stay motivated allowing you to exercise while building important connections with other members of your community. You will not only improve your fitness but also your well-being.

In the classes I will help you to build up physical activity levels gradually. You will be encouraged to participate in exercises that are effective and great for you. I will help you make physical activity an enjoyable habit by encouraging you to work to your own level. Everyday movements matter so, if you can become a bit stronger, this will allow you to do more with less effort. This will also enhance quality of life.

Classes

Classes are safe, effective and we have fun along the way!

All classes are:

  • To music
  • low- impact
  • easy to follow
  • with NO floor work
  • with a seated section
  • fun

we also:

  • Encourage good posture through correct body alignment
  • Routines can be adapted to the needs of the individual member
  • Each class is carefully planned to ensure we work all aspect of our body
  • You will be supported at all times

Classes are for men and woman over 60 and less able of all ages

Safe to Exercise?

When joining the class you will be asked to fill a Safe to Exercise Form.

This is a simple structured form of questions that will make me aware of any existing health conditions that you may have enabling me to guide you safely through the exercises to prevent injuries. This information is confidential and used solely for this purpose.

An over 60 class for men and woman and less able of all ages that combines movement to music with effective, gentle exercises, standing and seated, delivered in a safe, fun and welcoming environment all to great music. 

This is a full body workout to help improve your overall fitness, by building physical activity in to your daily routine so you are able to do more with less effort.

We do a 20 minute seated section.

FLexercise classes will help you to find your perfect fit and your personal best, providing improved fitness, energy and strength. FLexercise fuses/combines exercise with movement and dance.

Classes are taught to music in a fun, friendly and non-competitive environment with the opportunity to work at your own level and improve gradually.

Posture and central control are essential ingredients of FLexercise classes. Your muscles will be trained to make you more body aware and feel taller, stronger and more mobile, so encouraging good posture while being active – POSTURE IN ACTION

FLexercise is great for your well-being, making you feel more energised and confident.

This is a seated class.  FLexercise Chair combine strong central core and body strengthening exercises with movement. A tried and tested fitness formula and the experience to improve all round fitness.

We focus on developing good posture with correct body alignment, and lengthening and strengthening muscle groups to encourage full range of movement giving improved fitness, energy and strength.

Classes are suitable for participants that have restricted mobility and would like the benefits of FLexercise from the comfort of a chair.

A class for the over 65’s specifically design to help you perform day to day physical activities with ease. You will spend a fun happy hour with like minded people exercising all aspects of the body from head to toes.

You will be encourage to participate in exercises which will improve your mobilty, strength, flexibility and endurance.

Physical activity for older adults

Older adults should aim to be active for 150 minutes of moderate intensity activity per week. Moderate intensity means that your heart rate increases but you still can hold a conversation.

You should aim also for strength and balance activities twice a week.

As a highly qualified & experience instructor I am trained to make sure that you work within your own limits, provide easier alternatives and adapt exercises accordingly.

I know how the body works having studied anatomy, physiology and kinesiology. I have knowledge of the conditions that may affect the older population, so I can adapt exercises to meet your needs.
